About Timberwood

Verified Checked 2026-08-18

Timberwood is a residential subdivision inside the City of Humble, in Harris County, Texas, ZIP code 77396.

Being inside city limits is the single most consequential fact about living here, because it decides which rules apply to your house. Most of 77396 is unincorporated Harris County, where the rules are looser, so a great deal of advice found online does not apply. See permits.

The streets

Every street in Timberwood is named for a bird. There are 22 of them, with the number of addressed lots on each, which is a rough guide to how long the street is:

Two counts, and they are not the same number. 1,018 parcels carry a Timberwood section number on the appraisal roll. 1,012 of them have a house number, which is the table above. The difference is reserves: the park, the detention areas and the strips at the entrances, which are parcels without addresses.

Both counts are this Record's own, taken from the appraisal district's public data files, every parcel whose legal description names Timberwood.2 Nobody publishes a headcount for a subdivision, so there is no population figure here. The numbers that circulate online for Timberwood come from real estate data resellers, and none of them say where they got it.

Two things the maps get wrong. Pheasant Run has no street type after it, so it is Pheasant Run, never Pheasant Run Drive. And Kingfisher Court and Kingfisher Drive are two different streets, same with Sandpiper Circle and Sandpiper Street.

Timberwood Park

The city maintains a park inside the neighborhood, in the "2600 Blk. Of Kingfisher in the Timberwood subdivision", with picnic tables, playground equipment and two half-court basketball areas. Open "8:00 AM to Dark".4 Parks fall under Humble Public Works, 281-446-2327.5

The city says the park "covers 3 acres of land".4 The county roll says 1.59 acres.3 See parks.
