Who can join

People who live in Timberwood, owners and renters alike. Most accounts open straight away, when the name and the address match the county record. The rest are approved by hand.

Reading the Record and Services takes no account. Posting, adding a service and suggesting corrections do.

How names appear

An account is created with a full name and a full address. Only a first name, a last initial and a street are displayed, so a post reads Carlos C. on Pheasant Run. The house number stays hidden unless a member switches it on for their own posts.

The last initial exists so that two neighbors sharing a first name on the same street are not mistaken for each other.

Three subjects that do not belong here

1. Politics.
2. Crime reports and suspicious-person posts.
3. Disputes naming another neighbor.

Plenty of other places have them.

What happens to suggestions

Suggestions go to the site's admin. One that checks out becomes part of a page, and the page gets a new checked on date. One that cannot be confirmed is closed with a reason.

Notices are reviewed before they appear.

What the admin can see

The admin can see the whole site: member contact details, every notice including ones not yet approved, and a record of activity on the site.

Nothing is collected from outside this site.
