Who to call
Most of the neighborhood runs through the City of Humble, but not through one phone number. Public Works oversees "water, wastewater, streets, drainage, parks, animal control, code enforcement",1 and several of those publish their own line. Calling the wrong one is how people end up on hold about a water bill with the crew that fixes water mains.

The police non-emergency line and the after-hours public works line are the same number. Call 281-446-7127 after 4:00 PM and dispatch pages whoever is on call.1 Animal services runs through that same line too, at extension 4201.4
Public Works office hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday,1 and animal services keeps the same hours, by appointment.4
The outage number and the gas number are not interchangeable. CenterPoint lists 713-207-2222 for an electric outage or a downed line, and 888-876-5786 for a gas leak.37

- What code enforcement actually responds to here, and how quickly. The city publishes a phone number for it and nothing about its scope.5
